We’re massive pinball fans here at Vita Player, primarily the fantastic titles released by Farsight Studios and our friends at Zen Studios. It came as a shock today as we were able to confirm that Zen Studios have now officially ceased development on Zen Pinball 2 for both the PlayStation Vita and PS3.
There had been speculation recently that this was the case following their announcement of their new pinball engine, PinballFX3, being released for the PS4, XBox One and for the PC via Steam and today’s confirmation has made it clear that the company is moving forward with current gen hardware only. As Zen Studios explained to us earlier today in a message on Twitter when we asked about support for the PS Vita and PS3…
Hello there, the answer is yes. We had to say farewell to the Playstation 3 and the Vita because of the bigger requirements of the engine

Still, there are over 70 tables to enjoy on the Vita and we want to thank Zen Studios for the incredible work they have done giving us one of the best games to grace the console.
Do you know if the new Zen Pinball 3 game will be playable as a Remote Play-enabled PS4 game? Thanks.
As far as we know it should be fully Remote Play compatible.
