Undertale heading to PS Vita and PS4 this Summer

A surprise announcement at E3, indie developer Toby Fox confirmed that his JRPG styled game Undertale is heading to the PS Vita and PS4 this Summer both as a Cross Buy digital release and as a limited edition physical release in conjunction with Fangamer.

Already a hit on the PC, it’s a humorous RPG set in a world populated with animals and according to the developer speaking on the Official PlayStation Blog;

“Undertale is a role-playing game where no one has to get hurt. It’s a humorous game that I created to evoke the same feelings that many classic Japanese role-playing games had given me. Happiness, sadness, fear, courage, friendship, hope, love, justice…”

In bringing the game to consoles, Fox has at long last been able to take the game to Japan which he had not been able to do previously due to its PC origins) and is currently working on its localisation with 8-4 who worked on localising NieR: Automata, Metal Gear Rising and many others.

The digital release is set for release as Cross Buy on the PS Vita and PS4 this Summer through the PlayStation Store. The physical release will be available as a special Collectors Edition exclusively from Fangamer and will come complete with an exclusive 24-page book.
