Image & Form, the developers responsible for the stunning SteamWorld Dig, have released the first gameplay trailer for their next game in the series, SteamWorld Heist. The trailer for the turn-based strategy game features footage taken from the demo recently showcased at GDC, PAX East and EGX Rezzed a few weeks ago. Loved by the press and fans alike, Image & Form were asked if the game could be shown in action to a wider audience so the developers have released this core gameplay trailer.
SteamWorld Heist is a game about space adventures and strategic shootouts. Developed by Swedish studio Image & Form (who also made SteamWorld Dig and Anthill). Play as Captain Piper and recruit a team of rag-tag robots to explore and scavenge the remains of a destroyed world. Board enemy spaceships and command your crew in a unique variety of turn-based combat, where the outcome is determined purely by your own skills.
The game is being released on a range of formats from late 2015 including the PS Vita and PS4 although no word is forthcoming on whether or not it will support Cross Buy or if it will be PlayStation TV compatible.
