Best Video Games of 2019 (feat. Vita, PS4, PC and Switch)

Hey guys! We love Vita here at Vita Player (no surprises there), but we also love playing on other platforms. So here’s our list of favourite releases this year. We all agree that games are getting better with time! Of course, with the evolution of technologies and the intense competition among game developers. There are various games with different styles that gamers prefer. Some prefer adventurous games, some actions and others might love online casino games! Yes… especially table games at Aspers.com. We are not surprised that this year brings more world-class games. Let’s find out our favourite video games of 2019.

PlayStation Vita – Shovel Knight: King of Cards (also on 3DS, Switch, XBox One, PS4, Windows PC)

The newest entry into the Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove package sees us take up the role of King Knight, a knight who pretends to be a king while in reality… well, I won’t spoil too much, but you can expect the same fantastic platforming, beautiful design and amazing music that’s made Shovel Knight one of the best platform games to come out on the Vita. We won’t see Showdown on the Vita, though, which is disappointing. This means that King of Cards is the last update that Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove will receive on the Vita.

Windows PC – Apex Legends (also on PS4 and XBox One)

This game was released on the 4th of February. This game is set in a sci-fi universe. You’ll find that the game is more of a John Wick-style video game. It is also a battle royal game! You will find 20 three-man squads that will land on an island. They need to search for weapons and supplies. This will help them beat all other players in the battle. The winner is the one who survives the rounds. Out of the “new wave” of battle royale games, we love Apex Legends’ ability to reinvent the genre and the gamer-friendly policies. Unlike, say, Fornite and EPIC’s rather lacklustre approach to user privacy and security.

PS4 – A Plague Tale: Innocence (also on Windows PC and XBox One)

Released on the 14th of March 2019. This game has 17 Chapters developed by Asobo Studio. It holds a story of kids who survived difficult odds. You will be playing as a young girl with her brother next to her. People will be coming for you to take your life! All you have to do is protect your brother and survive! We love this indie title’s soul and focus on story and character development.

Linux PC – A Short Hike (also on Windows PC and MacOS)

A short hike is based on hiking! It is a simple game where you have to follow Claire, who is a bird and discover the world with her.  Take a short trip with her to the mountains and landscapes. Also, there are some hidden treasures that Claire will show you. This game is cute and has a 3D effect, this makes it more appealing. Gamers! Ready for a trip with her?

MacOS X – Baba Is You (also on Windows PC and Linux)

Those who love puzzle video games, Well… This game is for you! Created by Finnish indie and developed by Arvi Teikari, this game was released on the 13th of March 2019. This game is about a cute bunny, Baba. The aim is to push away the rocks so as you can head for the flag to complete a level. You can move every world that is on the screen and modify it as well. It is indeed interesting and fun to play!

Nintendo Switch – Cadence Of Hyrule

This game is playable on a Nintendo Switch! Released on the 13th of June 2019. Brace yourself… Well… this game is literally developed by Brace Yourself Games. Cadence Of Hyrule is a rhythm-based game that includes music, characters, and a high-quality setting. In this game, you can play as Princess Zelda or Link. They all have a unique power. Players need to move and get into action. You will be rewarded with bonuses. You also have to buy weapons to easily get through this game.

If you haven’t tried these games yet! Well, they are worth the shot.  We all wonder what 2020 has for us, Stay tuned!
