SCEA have confirmed that the new Vita PCH-2000 series model will launch in America and will be bundled with Borderlands 2, although a date has not currently been set beyond Spring 2014, despite the rumoured March 18th 2014 release date for Borderlands 2 that has been suggested for around two months.
Some information regarding Borderlands 2’s features have also been announced including: touch screen and rear touch pad control support for zooming and panning around maps, Cross Save support between Vita and PS3 and four player infrastructure online multiplayer. Borderlands 2 will include six downloadable content (DLC) packs including: Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate’s Booty; Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage; Psycho Character Class; Mechromancer Character Class; Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 1; and the Collector’s Edition Pack.
The Borderlands 2: Limited Edition Vita Bundle will also include an 8GB memory card and will retail at $199.99! It is currently unknown if Europe will receive the Borderlands 2 Vita bundle, but it is worth noting that $199.99 is the equivalent of £121.69!
