PlayStation Plus May 2013 Update

Playstation Plus Logo

Another month, another update for PlayStation Plus and it’s going to be a great month for Vita owners, especially if you currently don’t have PS+ yet! As always, there are three PlayStation 3 and two PlayStation Vita games being added in addition to the titles that seem to be available on a permanent basis but depending on when you take out your membership there could be as many as six games up for grabs next month to add to your collection…

For the PS3, the big announcement is the inclusion of Hitman Absolution, hinted at recently when Sony unveiled their Declassification Sale on the PlayStation Store. Joining that will be the puzzle adventure Catherine and the action game Malicious.

For the Vita we are going to be treated the stunningly beautiful Sine Mora – one of the best looking side-scrolling shoot-em-ups I have ever seen on any format. What makes this game even more impressive is its 3D mode so don’t forget to dig out your old red/blue glasses for this one! Supporting this is the brand new Velocity Ultra from our friends at FuturLab. We’ve been looking forward to this one for some time so it’s worth having PlayStation Plus for these two alone this month!

So the dates to look out for in May are:

Leaving PlayStation Plus

  • 1st May – Okami HD (PS3)
  • 1st May – F1 Race Stars (PS3)
  • 1st May – Quantum Conundrum (PS3)
  • 8th May – Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward (PS Vita)
  • 22nd May – Thomas Was Alone (PS3 / PS Vita)

Joining PlayStation Plus

  • 1st May – Hitman Absolution (PS3)
  • 1st May – Catherine (PS3)
  • 1st May – Malicious (PS3)
  • 8th May – Sine Mora (PS Vita)
  • 15th May – Velocity Ultra (PS Vita)

Meaning that, for PS Vita owners, Uncharted: Golden Absyss and Gravity Rush will still be available!
