EU PlayStation Plus Update – February 2015

As reported over on the European PlayStation Blog, the new games being made available through PlayStation Plus as part of the Instant Games Collection have been unveiled for February 2015 and it’s an interesting selection for PS Vita owners this time around…

The real highlight for many is the rogue-like platformer, Rogue Legacy. The critically-acclaimed title puts you deep inside a procedurally generated castle trying to discover more about your ancestry. Lose a life and it’s all over… or is it? The game then picks up with one of your descendents carrying on but with a few tweaks and changes to your genes along the way making for a unique gaming experience every time you play. It’s a Cross Buy title as well giving you access to the PS3 and PS4 versions at the same time!

The second Vita title this month is the brand new release Kick And Fennick. A 3D platform adventure game about a boy called Kick, a robot called Fennick… and big guns!

Leaving PlayStation Plus (4th February 2015)

  • inFamous First Light
  • The Swapper
  • Prototype 2
  • DuckTales Remastered
  • Woah Dave!
  • Duke Nukem: 3D Megaton Edition

Entering PlayStation Plus (4th February 2015)

  • Apotheon (PS4)
  • Transistor (PS4)
  • Thief (PS3)
  • Yakuza 4 (PS3)
  • Rogue Legacy (PS4, PS3, PS Vita Cross Buy)
  • Kick and Fennick (PS Vita)

Our real disappointment this month with PS+ is that the Vita is down to two games compared with the PS3 and PS4 that are getting three games each. Rogue Legacy is a superb title and is worth it for that alone, but when Cross Buy titles have been involved in the past the PS Vita has usually seen three games to make up for that so the Vita does seem to be on the losing end of the deal this time around.
