Devolver Digital’s awesome twitch-based action indie hit Downwell takes the plunge onto the PS Vita later this year according to a Playstation Japan indie Spotlight Video. Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida has since retweeted the news which gives credence to the video below.
Downwell released on PC and iOS in October of last year and has garnered much praise for its fast, fluid and addictive arcade gameplay. It’s essentially a roguelike shooter where you, well, fall down a well. The best part, however, is that you are armed with super-powered boots that help you control your fall and obliterate the nasty beasts that roam the platforms below. It’s a game that has always looked like a perfect fit for Vita and a game you should very much have on your radar.
