Hello guys! Marcos here. I was rummaging around on eBay the other day when I came across a very interesting listing. I ended up with the winning bid, for a whopping US$52. What does that buy me? A Pokémon Gold and Silver limited edition Game Boy Color console, a copy of Pokémon Gold version, and a copy of Pokémon Red version. If you’ve been totting up, you know that this is an order worth well over US$100.
So, why is it cheap? Did I get a bunch of cheap reproduction parts? Or did I score with this? I also give you a rundown of how YOU can figure out if a game or Game Boy console are authentic or reproduction.

Have you got a good deal on retro gaming goodness recently? Let us know in the comments. I’m dying to see what you guys can come up with in terms of bargain hunting for hidden treasures. Until next time! If you need me, I’ll be playing Pokémon Gold (on my Game Boy Advance SP AGS-101 though… the screen on the Game Boy Color consoles are terrible).
