100 Must-Buy PlayStation Mobile Games: 52 – Twist Pilot

100 Best PlayStation Mobile Games 052 - Twist Pilot

With over 500 titles released on the format, it’s easy for gamers – even the most hardened of PlayStation Mobile supporters – to have overlooked many of the earlier games released for the format. Surprisingly, some of the early games to have been released for PSM have stood the test of time remarkably well and Twist Pilot is one of those…

At first glance, Twist Pilot seems to be quite a simple game. Set in a series of mazes, you have to get your character from one end of the twisting maze to the other while not only avoiding any obstacles in your way but also collecting all of the coins en route. Sounds easy enough? Well it would be if it weren’t for the fact that you’re continually rotating so it’s all about controlling your inertia to negotiate the mazes so it’s a lot harder than it looks. The first few levels start off gently but then it gets a lot tougher!

Visually it’s bright and colourful and most importantly for a game like this, has pixel perfect collision detection so you’re never frustrated by the game – just your own piloting skills! It’s great fun and easy to pick up and play, it’s tough to master so there’s plenty of long term challenge on offer.
