I’m all kinds of happy for this piece of news. I absolutely adored Shinovi Versus, it’s wacky gameplay and surprisingly deep story arcs.
Its successor finally has release dates for the West: March 15th for North America and March 18th for Europe.
UPDATE: Here’s the new trailer for the game, courtesy of XSEED and Marvelous!
Here’s the (juicy and NSFW) trailer:
A bit about the game:
In SENRAN KAGURA ESTIVAL VERSUS, our sexy Shinobi find themselves suddenly transported to an idyllic island. The heroines soon realise there’s more to this paradise than sunshine and sandy beaches when the different schools end up involved in a fighting festival that will test their strength and wits. The winner will uncover the innermost secrets of Shinobi lore, attaining the coveted rank of Kagura – truly the highest honour that can be bestowed on a fighter. In the process, rivalries will resurface, wounds will reopen and convictions will be tested.
Gameplay in SENRAN KAGURA ESTIVAL VERSUS cranks everything fans love about the series up to 11. In true SENRAN KAGURA fashion, every character has a unique Shinobi Transformation that increases her power and grants her different abilities. Additionally, players can unleash devastating special moves and use advanced techniques, like Aerial Raves and Wall Runs, to dominate the opposition. Some of the fights may even culminate in a Creative Finisher if characters are standing on the right spot – and these finishing moves show the girls in ways that you’ve never seen before!
A brawl for the ages! Prepare for non-stop action with dozens of characters on screen at the same time, over-the-top special moves and clothes-clearing combos!
A pleasure for the senses! State-of-the-art graphics show all the interesting details on the carefully rendered characters and environments.
Upgraded Dressing Room! Choose the clothing and accessories of up to five characters in PlayStation 4 and three in PlayStation Vita. Then, compose your own scenes by changing the poses, the background and other details!
Refreshing multiplayer experience! Test your skills online in unique modes such as “Capture the Bra” or “Queen of the Hills”.
We expect to bring you a review in the coming weeks!
