A new firmware for PS Vita, version 3.30, will go live on the 2nd October, the PlayStation blog has revealed.
First announced at Toyko Games Show earlier on this year, the new firmware is notable mainly for the ability to add themes to the Vita, not only providing backgrounds but changes to icons etc. The store will eventually provide custom themes for Uncharted, Tearaway, Freedom Wars and more are on their way.
In addition, the new firmware will provide a guide to Trophy Rarity, and new functions for the Calendar enabling players to invite friends (and non-friends) to events.
