The Castlevania successor Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night by Koji Igarashi successfully surpassed its $3.5 million Kickstarter stretch goal on June 6th, securing the highly anticipated PlayStation Vita release.

Yesterday, Iga and Inti Creates teased us all with some very early off-screen gameplay footage of the gothic side-scroller in a development update video on YouTube.

In the video we see Iga testing an early PC build of the game while discussing animations, combat and camera angles with another developer.

Aside from the small gameplay teaser, the Kickstarter update announced that the famous Final Fantasy illustrator, Yoshitaka Amano, will be designing his own hand-signed art as part of the final goal for backers who donate $800 or more.

The Bloodstained Kickstarter has three more days left of its funding stage and is set to be released in March 2017. The game will be coming to PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U and PC.
