Earlier today, legendary programmer Jeff Minter announced on his blog that he is working on his first game for the PlayStation Vita. A veteran of the games industry for over 30 years, Jeff has written software for almost every computer and games console imaginable starting off in the 8-bit era writing games for the Commodore Vic 20, C64, Spectrum, the Atari range before progressing onto the Atari ST, Amiga, Jaguar, mobile formats and countless others.

Developing a staggering range of arcade action games focusing on high-octane gameplay, through his company Llamasoft he has garnered an incredible fan following and respect throughout the industry and has been posting on Twitter over the last few weeks about taking ownership of a PS Vita so we have expected an announcement considering his track record… Anyway, the game itself, TxK, is an update of the classic arcade game Tempest and more information can be found on the Llamasoft blog at http://minotaurproject.co.uk/blog/?p=372

This is going to be one of the must-have games of the year!
