Coming soon for the PS Vita, and playable on Sony’s stand at the forthcoming EGX show in London, is the new 2.5D platform game Shu from developer Coatsink…
Shu is a 2.5D platformer set in an extraordinary universe filled with unusual and charming characters. Shu is our protagonist, climbing, leaping and gliding through mountainous and lush landscapes, under the pursuit of an endless storm. Rescue stranded villages along the way and harness their unique abilities on your vivid journey to safety. Shu is being developed for the Playstation 3, Playstation 4 and Playstation Vita.
Creative Director Tom Beardsmore: “We’re really looking forwards to demoing Shu at EGX. We have previously demoed Shu at GDC and other events, since then the game has come a long way. We can’t wait to meet gamers, other developers and press and would like to encourage anyone and everyone to come and say hello!”
Coatsink was founded in late 2009 by Tom Beardsmore and Paul Crabb. Since then the team has grown into a 12 strong team of developers. Coatsink develops games for multiple platforms. Previous releases include Pinch, which received praise from IGN and the Guardian. Shu is one of a handful of titles currently under development, with a game for the Samsung Gear VR, Esper, recently announced to the public.
