After teasing a ton of announcements on their Twitter, Rising Star Games have finally announced they are working with PM Studios to develop SUPERBEAT XONiC, a PlayStation Vita exclusive rhythm action game.
PM Studios previously developed DJMAX Fever, a rhythm action game developed for the PSP and released in 2010. PM Studios CEO Michael Yum expressed his excitement over this new partnership:
“I’m extremely excited to work with my former colleagues and create what I feel is the spiritual successor to DJMAX – we’ve been listening to the fans and decided that the Vita was the best platform for our players.”
On the Rising Star Games website, the announcement teases over 50 unique tracks, multiple game modes, new tracks as well as returning ones from the BEATCRAFT series, and an interface that takes advantage of the PlayStation Vita’s touch-screen capabilities.
