It’s been an interesting week for the PS Vita over in Japan as it continues to hold well in both the software and hardware sales charts as the latest sales figures for the week ending 28th August 2016 show, as provided by Famitsu…
As expected, the top spot for games has been taken by the latest release Yo-Kai Watch 3: Sushi/Tempura with Tales Of Beseria seeing drops across both the PS4 and PS3. Despite making a huge impact in the West, No Man’s Sky only appeared in the charts at number six in Japan and managed to sell just under 16,000 copies, fewer than the fifth place title – Sengoku Otome: Legend Battle which was a new entry for the PS Vita.

What is of importance here is that sales of the PS4 have been affected this week by supplier shortages. It is believed that this has been caused, in part, by the impending release of the PS4 Slim which has allowed the PS Vita to take second place in the charts.
