Bargain PS Vita (and PS3) at GAME

PS Vita - Front Touch Screen

In a pre-E3 move that may suggest that GAME is aware of some of Sony’s plans at the huge event in Los Angeles, the chain has reduced the price of its pre-owned PlayStation Vita and slim PlayStation 3 consoles.

A WiFi PS Vita can now be purchased for the wallet friendly £99.99 with an extra £30 getting you a pre-owned 3G version of the most powerful handheld gaming system in the world, at £129.99. These prices are not only live on the website but also in store, so a visit to your local one may well be in order. Prices of new 3G consoles may also be worth checking out with reports suggesting a £169.99 clearance price point for the 3G PS Vita in the chain’s stores.

In a similar move, PS Vita’s current perfect partner, the PlayStation 3, is also priced at £99.99 (at least on www.game.co.uk) for the slim consoles (160/320GB) as well as the 12GB “super-slim” 4000 series unit.

The move is sure to fuel speculation of announcements regarding the PlayStation Vita platform as well as PlayStation 3 and, of course, PlayStation4 at E3 next week.

One word of advice – ask your local GAME staff member to grab you two or three of their best consoles to choose from, but be aware each console has to be checked for all functions before they’ll trade it in, in the first place.

Don’t forget to budget for a case, screen protector, PlayStation Plus and the biggest PS Vita memory card you can afford!

Thanks to @Farrmark on Twitter for the  tip off, who is enjoying his immaculate PS Vita as I type!
