What are the best mobile games?

Blog

The PS Vita has an incredible selection of games available for it, with more titles being released every week. However, this focus has shifted towards indie games and titles developed in Japan. AAA titles have long departed the platform, and even games inspired by major franchises are long departed. Titles that would have been instant hits – Uncharted, Assassin’s Creed, Killzone, Sword Art Online – are nowhere to be seen. While other systems still enjoy these classic releases, some gamers are looking towards the Nintendo Switch or even their smartphones to try the big name releases.

It’s strange to think that mobile games could be taken seriously as a platform. Even more so for big name releases. But have you ever wondered what is the best mobile game out there? Surely, in terms of sheer gameplay time and popularity, Candy Crush seems to be one of the best. However, what we mean here is a game that is slightly different in at least a few main criteria. All things considered, Candy Crush is quite cool, but there are more games that definitely deserve a closer look. Let’s have a look.

Brawl Stars

Supercell’s Brawl Stars is an amazing mobile shooter. Offering a third-person bird-view control of your character, Brawl Stars has a barmy playstyle and awesome animations. Supercell, the Swedish developers of the game have done their best to develop a semi-casual title that’s so fun to play, that you will definitely want to check it out for yourself. All of this being said, Brawl Stars is one of the top mobile titles of our time.

Meanwhile, Supercell are responsible for some of the best games out there that come for mobile. This includes Clash Royale and even Clash of Clans, which are both competitive games. You have certainly heard of esports, and as it turns out – mobile games are all part of the action!

Clash Royale and Clash of Clans now have annual events that generate around $1 million of prize money for the winners of the world championships in each respective game. As a fan, you may not be able to participate in the most competitive tournaments, but you can just as well be part of the action by simply betting on your favourite mobile esports. You may bet on esports at a trusted website here.

Call of Duty Mobile

Call of Duty is one of the most iconic gaming franchises out there. The game will completely allow you to merge into the war-torn world of old and modern soldiers. Wee had a release for the PS Vita early on in the console’s lifespan which still proves to be popular today, despite not being regarded as being one of the best in the series. Sadly others didn’t follow but an annual release could have been a great boost to the console. Still we did see a hardware bundle with a limited edition themed console so it wasn’t all bad.

With the arrival of the latest instalment in the franchise, Call of Duty is now available for mobile, and this is big news. Activision/Blizzard have long wondered whether they should be expanding into a mobile version of their most popular franchise, and they have clearly decided to go ahead and give it an honest shot.

All things considered, call of Duty: Mobile is a fantastic game and one that is already massively popular in regions such as Southeast Asia (SEA). Curious to get in on the action yourself? You should definitely go ahead and play this title!

Diablo Immortal

Blizzard are bringing their latest instalment in the Diablo universe for mobile and that has certainly excited fans in SEA. However, Western fans are still unconvinced about the potential of the game. To some, this is a complete and utter waste of time – to others it’s an opportunity to enjoy yourself as much as you want wherever you are. It’s true that Diablo was built as a desktop title, making it very difficult for many people to adapt to the changing world of the famous game villain. Yet, Diablo Immortal promises to be a really big title by all measurable standards.

Again, this was another RPG franchise that skipped the PS Vita (and PSP for that matter) although the original Diablo was released for the first PlayStation.
