All in all, my first Atelier experience has been a great one, and I can say for sure that it won’t be the last.
All in all, weak story aside, “Grand Kingdom” is probably one of the best games on the Vita, and one of the best sRPGs I’ve played since “Jeanne D’Arc” on the PSP.
The fact that I am horrible at playing this game hasn’t stopped me from recognizing the fact that it’s a very well executed project.
If you take it for what it is, this quirky action RPG will fill a ton of your time with fantastic fighting and plenty of character development from the girls we know and love.
All in all, I find very little to be wrong with the game. A bit of a wonky camera and an odd control scheme are not enough to put me off it, and nor is the seemingly thin storyline. Beneath this budget veneer lies a heart of ARPG gold that is bound to entertain you if this is the kind of game you enjoy.
