Race The Sun Coming This Summer

Following a successful run on the PC directly and via Steam, Flippfly are bringing their, rather different, racing game to the PlayStation consoles.

The game is being referred to as minimalist – though it’s hardly barren from what I can see and moves very quickly. Essentially you are in a solar powered craft and always chasing the sun as the lack of sunlight means no power and the end of your racing. In most cases you are chasing the sun on a planet so it is endless, with multipliers, obstacles and power-ups enriching the experience. The trailer video (linked below) immediately gives you the sense of exhilaration that is the essence of the game, and reminds me a little of  Wipeout zone events (perhaps with a little retro/Llamasoft influence too!)

With the game being cross-buy across PlayStation Vita, PS3 and Ps4 and apparently cross-save across the three formats too, it looks like something a lot of us will have a punt on, and I, for one, am looking forward to.
