PS Vita Minecraft Set For Release On 15th October 2014

After being submitted to Sony for Q&A testing a few weeks ago by developers 4J Studios, the PS Vita version of Minecraft has been cleared and given a release date. The title, which is the full version of the game and not a cut-down experience as featured on other mobile devices, is scheduled for release on the EU PSN Store on 15th October 2014. As previously stated, the game will be Cross Buy with the PS3 version although we don’t know if this will also apply to DLC.

No details have been released yet about a US release date or whether or not the game will launch simultaneously at retail although considering the global appeal that the game has, we would expect a retail version to follow soon afterwards. Are you one of the millions of gamers out there planning on picking this up?

  1. I am tempted to get the physical edition once it’s released. I do hope SCE UK have the sense to be putting out a Vita hardware bundle with the physical game and a 16GB card in!

  2. Personally Minecraft bores me senseless BUT it’s an incredibly important release for the Vita so I’ll no doubt end up getting the physical release to add to the collection sooner rather than later!
