In a shock announcement, Disney confirmed today that their multiformat game Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two is coming to the Playstation Vita later this year!
Join the legendary Mickey Mouse on a fun-filled quest to bring a splash of colour back to Wasteland – a weird and wonderful world of forgotten Disney toons – in this long-awaited sequel. Exploring alone, or alongside the loveable Oswald the Lucky Rabbit in a co-op adventure, Mickey must use his enchanted paintbrush to find new paths, solve puzzles and battle evil mechanical monsters.
The game is being updated and enhanced to take advantage of the PS Vita’s control systems and the touch screen for enhanced accuracy during painting and six-axis controls for the game’s racing modes. In addition, the game will include online multiplayer functionality via wi-fi which is brand new to the PS Vita!
Although the game’s original developers are no longer in business, Sony are now converting this to the Vita in-house and have stated that it is being based on the PS3 version rather than any other version of the game. No price or release date has announced at present.
