Competition: Win A PlayStation TV!

PlayStation TV

It’s been a while since we ran a competition here at Vita Player so we thought we run something extra special for all of our site visitors so we’re going to give one lucky reader the chance to win a brand new PlayStation TV micro console! As this is our biggest competition yet on the website, there’s a little more to it this time than just a simple question and answer, but we think you’ll agree that the prize is worth it!

The Prize

Up for grabs is a brand new PlayStation TV console. It’s a UK version of the console and comes complete with all manuals, power lead, HDMI cable, and a PSN voucher to download three PS Vita games from the PSN Store – OlliOlli, Worms Revolution Extreme and Velocity Ultra. Please note that the prize does not include an ethernet cable or a controller – these will need to be supplied by the prize winner.

How To Enter

Vita Player is always looking for new writers to join our team and we wanted to take this opportunity to audition new writers and to encourage PS Vita owners to share their creativity and passion for the console with other PS Vita fans. With that in mind, we wanted to open up the website, through this competition, to give our readers the chance to have their reviews published on the website. So, to enter this competition we want to see YOUR reviews of games for the PS Vita.

So that’s basically the competition. We want you to write a review of a game for us for Vita Player. It can be a review of ANY game as long as it runs on the PS Vita – a native Vita title or a game that runs on the Vita from another platform – PSP, PS One Classics, Minis or PlayStation Mobile. As long as it’s a game that’s available at retail or downloadable from the PSN Store then we’d love to read your reviews. The only guidelines that you need to stick to when writing your reviews are:-

  • The game you review must be available to play on the PS Vita
  • The game must be a title that we haven’t currently reviewed on Vita Player (if you’re not sure, just use our search function)
  • The review must be family friendly (so be careful about the language you use)
  • Keep to the general style and length of a typical Vita Player game review
  • Make sure that you include our “At A Glance” section (although don’t worry about the PlayStation TV compatability details)
  • Give the game a score out of 10
  • The review hasn’t been published previously on any other website or magazine and that it is all your own work
  • You agree that you grant us the right to  publish your review on the Vita Player website

In addition to the main prize, we will also look at all of the entries we receive and we may contact one or more of the writers with a view to inviting them to be a part of the Vita Player writing team. Please be aware that Vita Player is a non-profit making website and writing positions are voluntary and unpaid. However, our website staff do receive occasional review copies of game titles, PSN vouchers, accessories and other items in lieu of their work on the website.

Rules

  1. All entrants must be aged 18 or over and be residents of the EU.
  2. Entries submitted must be wholy original works and not have been submitted to or published elsewhere.
  3. All entrants must agree that their submission may be used on the Vita Player website freely without further permission being sought from the author.
  4. The prize of the PlayStation TV is physically being held by Vita Player at present and is not being supplied by any third party. As we are not awaiting the supply of this prize, we will not offer an alternative nor will any cash alternative be offered should the winner decline to accept the first prize.
  5. Closing date for all entries is midnight on 31st May 2015 (UK time).
  6. The winning entry shall be the one deemed by the judges to be the best written review submitted by the closing date.
  7. No guarantee is given to the winning entrant that a staff position will be offered to them on the Vita Player website.
  8. The decision of the Site Editor is final.

Sending Your Entry To Us

So, if you have read all of that and have decided to enter, just write your review and email it to us at contact@vitaplayer.co.uk and put “PlayStation TV Competition” in the subject line. Attached your review as either a Word, Open Office, Text, or RTF file and we’ll do the rest but please ensure that it reaches us by the closing date of 31st May 2015. Please make sure that you include your full name, date of birth and country you live in along with your entry.

Good luck!

Uh huh, because it’s so hard to chuck the prize in an envelope and send the prize to countries outside of Europe…

  2. We’re restricting it to EU residents primarily because the console itself is an EU release model and the bundled PSN game voucher is also only valid on EU PSN accounts.

  3. Nice! I will have to choose from all the Vita games I have and have played, but I think I have JUST the game in mind…

  4. I’ve not had any games or a console , so I can’t write a review. But I would still like to enter the competition and try new games and experience the games that you have.

    • We are asking entrants to write a review because part of the prize – as well as a console – is potentially going to include the chance to join our team as a writer for the website, although this is something that we are not guaranteeing for the winner.
