Square Enix Will Consider a Vita Western Release of I Am Setsuna “If There Is a Swell of Demand”

Square Enix have announced I Am Setsuna (previously known as Ikenie to Yuki no Setsuna) for PlayStation 4 and PC in the West, however, the Japanese publisher has stated that a PS Vita version will only be released “if there is a swell of demand.”

USGamer spoke with the project’s director Atsushi Hashimoto at GDC, and asked if we’d possibly see a Vita version of the game here in the West. “Of course, there is a large Vita market in Japan. If there is a swell of demand in North America [for the Vita version], though, we will consider it.”

I Am Setsuna is being developed by Tokyo RPG Factory and is being pitched as an authentic love letter to old-school Square Enix RPGs of yesteryear.

If you’re interested in seeing a Western release for PS Vita then drop Square Enix a tweet and let them know. On Twitter, mention @SquareEnixUSA and @Square_Enix_EU. Alternatively, you can leave a message on their Facebook page.
